The team was named after Metallica's famous logo figure, Scary Guy. During their nearly 20-year history, they have given more than 400 concerts both in Hungary and abroad, from the smallest clubs to the biggest festivals. Not only Metallica fans express appreciation after a Scary party, but the mother band also expressed their liking for the version of the new Metallica song Lux Aeterna covered by Scary Guyz on Instagram.

The members of Scary Guyz are die-hard fans, so they push each concert with the same commitment, passion, energy and joy as the Hetfields. By the way, they use the same instruments and amplifiers that the mother band works with (ESP James Hetfield signature - JH-1, JH-3, Grynch, Truckster, Gibson Explorer Rusty, Gibson Flying V and Les Paul guitars, Sadowsky NYC bass guitars, MESA/Boogie Dual Rectifier and Ampeg SVT amplifiers, Shure Super 55 microphones), so that the guys can bring the concerts as close as possible to the classic Metallica sound.
